This guide explains how to automatically set up a Hosted Exchange 2013 mailbox in Outlook 2016
Info - Please note the following information:
- The full range of Exchange functions is only available with a Hosted Exchange 2013 Professional mailbox
If you have just installed Outlook, you can skip steps 1.) and 2.).
1. Open the control panel - function: “E-mail”.
Depending on the previous configuration, you will now either see the profile overview directly or a selection window for various settings. If necessary, click on “Show profiles” and on “Add” in the profile overview:
2. Name your new profile and click on “OK”:
3. Enter your personal data
Enter the following information in the next window:
- Your name: Your displayed name
- Email address: Your Hosted Exchange 2013 e-mail address
- Password: Your Hosted Exchange password for your mailbox
Then click on “Next”:
4. Start the automatic setup
The server settings are retrieved from the Exchange server's autodiscover file; you may need to confirm this again. Please check the box “Do not ask for this website in the future” and click on “Allow”:
5. Outlook 2016 is fully set up
When Outlook starts for the first time, the profile is set up automatically. You have just successfully set up your Hosted Exchange 2013 mailbox in Outlook.
