Basically, no further settings need to be made for our Spam Control to work.
All mails arriving at your domain are checked and forwarded to your mail account, but if you still want to personalize your protection, here are the top 10 most frequently asked questions.
1. Whitelist senders of mails
If senders are added to the whitelist, every mail from the domain or the specified mailbox is allowed through, regardless of the content. You can find the menu item under Incoming - Protection Settings → Whitelist senders. If you click on Show results, all existing entries will be displayed. The following settings can be adjusted under Add entry: Local part: Name of the receiving mailbox of your domain without the ending (@Domain.tld) Sender flag: Apply to envelope sender: Checks only the sender in the header Apply to from: Apply address: Checks the Form: sender. Apply to both: Checks both parameters (Of course, you can also use the same scheme to blacklist sender mailboxes) |
(Here all mail traffic from *@dogado.de would be delivered to info@domain.tld)

2. Configuring the sensitivity of spam protection
Under Incoming - Protection Settings → Filter settings, we find the sensitivity settings for spam protection.
You can use the quarantine threshold value to regulate how strictly the spam protection evaluates the emails. The higher the value, the lower the protection. With the default setting of 0.9, spam mails may appear in the inbox from time to time. However, this value already offers very good protection.

3. Set spam report
Under the Reporting tab, you can set whether and how often you want to receive reports. The default setting is that no reports are sent. You can have an unscheduled report sent to a desired address at any time, and you can receive a report on any spam from the domain at specified times.
4. Exclude mailbox from protection
If you do not want a mailbox to receive spam protection, you can set this under the Incoming - Protection Settings → Whitelist recipients tab.
Here you can simply add a recipient, under Local part only the name of the mailbox without the @ ending belongs.
5. Activate spam quarantine report globally
To do this, please activate the option Automatic activation for all recipients under Reporting → Protection Report - mailbox, then all mailboxes will automatically receive a spam report.
Optionally, you can also specify the recipients yourself under this heading, the reports contain the mails since the last report and the option to remove them from the quarantine, to train the spam or non-spam, whitelists or blacklists.
You can set these options under Domain report actions.
6. Prohibit defined attachments
Under Incoming - Protection Settings → Restrictions for attachments, you can set which attachment types are permitted. Attachments that are selected can neither be sent nor received.
7. Set filter rules for whitelist
Go to Incoming - Protection Settings→ Whitelist filter rules.
By clicking on Show results, you can display all previously set rules. If you want to create a new rule, please click on Add rule. Here you will find various setting options for what should be checked. As soon as the condition is met, the mail will be delivered automatically, regardless of how high the probability of spam is.
To activate mailboxes from senders, we recommend Whitelist senders.
8. Set filter rules for blacklist
Go to Incoming - Protection Settings → Blacklist filter rules.
Click on Show results to display all the rules you have set so far. If you want to create a new rule, please click on Add rule. Here you will find various setting options for what should be checked, e.g. it is advisable to filter the subject for a keyword such as nail fungus, spray mist, Cialis, Radarwaner or Viagra, because these are very exotic and are not used under normal circumstances.
Short keywords should not be used because they may appear in other normal words.
Blacklist senders are recommended for blacklisting mailboxes.
9. Define CatchAll
If you use CatchAll forwarding with your provider, you must inform Pro Spam Protection v2 of this because mails for which there is no mailbox are automatically rejected.
To do this, please contact the Customer Service in the CloudPit support module or send an e-mail to support@dogado.de
10. View statistics
Under Incoming → Domain statistics you will find detailed statistics on how much spam your spam protection has detected, you can check specific time periods here or request overall statistics. 11. manage multiple domains under one account, 12. Import and export settings (it is important that the files are not edited with Microsoft Excel, as they can then no longer be imported)

General
The following scheme applies:
* → Serves as a wildcard and replaces any number of characters, e.g., *@domain.tld would stand for all mail addresses located on the domain.
Local part → This always refers to the account name without ending, so for support@dogado.de the local part would be: Support
